Xingyu’s research focuses on enzyme evolution and functional divergence of a protein superfamily. She studied chemistry in her undergraduate program and worked as a laboratory technician at a microfluidic company before joining the Tokuriki lab, following her passion and curiosity in protein evolution. Outside of research, Xingyu enjoys painting, sketching, skiing and climbing.
