I’m originally from Hong Kong and moved to Bangkok for high school before coming to Vancouver for my undergraduate studies. I discovered my interest in biochemistry during high school, which led me to pursue it as my major. Since joining Nobu’s lab, my research interests have expanded to include protein experimental evolution and systems biology. I’m especially fascinated by how evolutionary theory, when applied to protein evolution, offers a unique lens through which to reimagine natural processes in life. Outside the lab, I enjoy covering songs on the piano, skateboarding, playing badminton, running, and hunting for Pokémon. :)
